ECOGATE® SAVES ELECTRICAL ENERGY

The original ECOGATE® concept was inspired by the realization that in a typical woodworking factory less than 50% of the machinery is operating at any given time. This is not an organizational or production flaw, but the nature of industry. The current dust collecting systems in industry are sized for the case when all installed machinery is running and needing a nominal dust collecting operation.

The ECOGATE® computer controlled System automatically closes unused ports (gates), and regulates power to the fan, resulting in a substantial reduction in the cost of operating the dust/mist/fume collection. For dust collecting fans, the following basic physical laws apply: if you cut the total amount of air ventilated by 50%, you will be able to run the ventilator motor on 12.5% of the previous energy required (87.5% savings over current technology).
